Shopping for an adjustable base? These high-tech mattress foundations are increasingly popular for sleepers of all kinds due to their ability to offer consumers next-level comfort, health benefits, convenience and functionality. However, for many shoppers adjustable bases can represent a significant investment that comes with some pretty important warranty and protection considerations.
Here's everything you need to know before you buy an adjustable base from Woodstock Furniture & Mattress Outlet – or anywhere else for that matter. Let’s get to it!
Are Adjustable Bases Returnable?
No. It is important to understand that here at Woodstock Furniture & Mattress Outlet adjustable bases are a non-returnable item. This is overwhelmingly the case at other mattress retailers as well due to their electronic components, assembly logistics, and health and safety considerations.
As a result, please be sure to double-check all features, sizes, and mattress compatibility with your salesperson before finalizing your purchase. Given that these products are unable to be returned once customers have accepted delivery, it’s important to understand the warranties you are entitled to along with the other options you have to protect your investment.

The 10-Year Power Base Benefit Plan from Woodstock Furniture & Mattress Outlet
Given that there are a few limitations above, we offer our shoppers an optional 10-Year Power Base Benefit Plan starting at just $149.99 for additional peace of mind. Our plan covers the following:
- Accidental damage
- Breakage of reclining, heating, and vibrating mechanisms
- Breakage of welds
- Breakage of steel frames
- Failure of integral electrical components (including wiring, motors, and remote controls)
The Power Base Benefit Plan is completely optional, but for many shoppers, it offers valuable protection — especially once the full-coverage portion of a manufacturer’s warranty period ends. Additionally, our Power Base Benefit Plan covers accidental damage, something you won’t find in any manufacturer warranties. Finally, ours isn’t a prorated plan that covers less and less with each passing year or something that may have unforeseen parts or labor costs down the road when it comes time for repair or replacement. With the exception of potential delivery fees charged for replacement units or components, once you purchase the plan, you’re protected for the duration of the plan at no additional cost to you.
Just remember that the coverage plan only protects single-incident failures only, rather than accumulated damage. Well, what does that mean? Accumulation refers to incidents or issues that have piled up over time because they were not addressed, while single-incident just means that any issues must be claimed separately as they occur. As a result, if you’ve got a potential issue you should file a claim as soon as you’re aware of it.
